INSAAT & YATIRIM, Issue: 139 / Page: 206 » download | Description | : | Plots along Kurtulus Deresi Avenue and Yeni Yol Street have been undergoing a rapid regeneration process following the Akplaza Project developed by Akdaglar Construction and designed by Manço Architects.
1175 Island Office Building, being the second project designed by Manço Architects on the same island, was planned as a mixed use building with retail on the ground floor and offices on upper floors.
The building was shifted to the rear setback line, in order to solve the garage lamps, as well as to create a public plaza in front. A service courtyard was planned on the Kurtoglu Avenue side.
Office spaces were solved around a central atrium void, within depths allowing natural lighting and ventilation.
Office floors were shaped to project from upper and lower floors on differing parts. The dynamism of the building mass was emphasized with rounded corners and continuous mullions encircling the whole façades with varying angles.
A recreational space open to all building users was created on the terrace roof floor.
