A commercial area on the ground floor and residential units on upper floors were solved within the plan and height boundaries strictly defined by the Municipality of Kadikoy.
A stereotypical architecture resulting from the plan scheme with projections was avoided. By using the same fiber cement cladding for both the roof and the façade, continuation of mass surfaces was achieved. All façades were wrapped with fiber cement bands, in order to enhance the horizontal effect. Some of those bands with differing thicknesses were employed as sunbreakers whereas others were used as flower pots.
